Aura, a 21st-century opera conceived by the poet Gabriel Ventura, the composer Marina Herlop and the visual artist Rosa Tharrats, is presented as a stage evocation with mediaeval influences and a strong pantheist component.<\/span>
\nSet in the 13th century, the protagonist of Aura, fleeing from a world devastated by the wars and crusades of pope Innocent III, takes refuge in a forest in Languedoc. There she finds a spring, where the Angel of the Waters appears to her, and they talk about her condition as A refugee. Water, in its different forms, is revealed to her as a \u201cdoor and mirror\u201d, as hope and \u201cgrace of thought\u201d.<\/span>
\nInspired by the visions of women mystics like Hildegard von Bingen, as well as the forms of representation in Romanesque art (hieratism, breaking with the space-time dimension and so on), Aura features melismatic chants and digital echoes, inhabited by water spirits and voices from the other side. Disembodied, plasmatic characters, perhaps creatures of an inter-species future.<\/span>
\nAura therefore stands not only as a paean to nature as a place of peace and refuge, of imagination, life and thought, with water as a central element, but also as a song against the devastation of war.<\/span>
\nIn a time like our own, with a pressing climate crisis, Aura reminds us of the germinating, purifying and repairing power of water as a basic element in both human beings and the planet, while highlighting an ecosophical awareness we must cling to and nurture if we are to survive and achieve a harmonious balance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aura, una \u00f2pera del segle XXI concebuda pel poeta Gabriel Ventura, la compositora Marina Herlop i l\u2019artista visual Rosa Tharrats, se\u2019ns presenta com una evocaci\u00f3 esc\u00e8nica de resson\u00e0ncies medievals amb un fort component panteista.<\/span>
\nSituada en el segle XIII, la protagonista d\u2019Aura fuig d\u2019un m\u00f3n devastat per les guerres de les croades del papa Inocenci III i es refugia en un bosc del Llenguadoc. All\u00e0 troba una font en qu\u00e8 se li apareix l\u2019\u00c0ngel de les Aig\u00fces, amb qui mant\u00e9 una conversa sobre la seva condici\u00f3 de refugiada. L\u2019aigua, en les seves diverses manifestacions, se li revela com a \u201cporta i mirall\u201d, com a esperan\u00e7a i \u201cgr\u00e0cia del pensament\u201d. <\/span>
\nInspirada en les visions de m\u00edstiques com Hildegarda de Bingen, aix\u00ed com en les formes de representaci\u00f3 de l\u2019art rom\u00e0nic (hieratisme, trencament de la dimensi\u00f3 espai-temps\u2026), Aura \u00e9s una invocaci\u00f3 de cants melism\u00e0tics i ecos digitals, poblada d\u2019\u00e9ssers aqu\u00e0tics i veus del m\u00e9s enll\u00e0. Personatges incorporis i plasm\u00e0tics, possibles criatures d\u2019un futur interesp\u00e8cie. <\/span>
\nAura es constitueix, aix\u00ed, no nom\u00e9s com un cant a la natura com a espai de pau i refugi, d\u2019imaginaci\u00f3, vida i pensament, amb l\u2019aigua com a element central, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 com un cant contra les devastacions de la guerra. <\/span>
\nEn un temps com el nostre, d\u2019urgent crisi clim\u00e0tica, Aura ens recorda el poder germinador, purificador i reparador de l\u2019aigua com a element constitutiu de l\u2019\u00e9sser hum\u00e0 i el planeta, tot subratllant una consci\u00e8ncia ecos\u00f2fica que hem de conservar i propiciar per a la subsist\u00e8ncia i l\u2019equilibri harm\u00f2nic.<\/span><\/p>\n
